Real nutrition without stories

We couldn't do something that doesn't align with what we stand for.
We provide the right nutrition, real nutrition.

We couldn't do something that doesn't align with what we stand for.
We provide the right nutrition, real nutrition.

As true experts in animal nutrition, we not only provide all the information you need to make informed decisions about your pet’s diet to ensure you’re giving them what they truly need, but we also create our own recipes.

Our products are created based on what we know works, and we build upon that knowledge.

All our pet foods adhere to our REAL NUTRITION GUIDELINE.

Much is said about the benefits of an ideal diet, referring to different types of diets; but what’s truly important is that, regardless of the type of diet used, the nutrition is genuine and nutritionally appropriate.

At ERA, our recipes are formulated to meet all the nutritional needs of puppies, adult dogs, and cats, taking into account the characteristics of each animal. We don’t offer generic foods under labels like “for all breeds” or “for all life stages”.

Some people give their opinions and tell us about the benefits that certain
recipes provide, but in many cases, we find ingredient definitions without
percentages and lacking transparency regarding the sources of their origins.

At ERA, we understand the importance of providing our customers
with the utmost clarity in the information about our recipes. That’s why we always
provide transparent recipes where the main ingredients are
clearly defined in terms of both their origin and percentage.

It is said that the best way to achieve high palatability (food acceptance) is to choose unprocessed or wet foods.
However, the truth is that, in this regard, your pet always has the final say.

At ERA, the high palatability of our recipes is a matter we take very seriously. That’s why we incorporate natural and high-quality ingredients, significant amounts of fresh meat, and high-end natural appetizers, all using optimal production and packaging methods.

It’s said that high digestibility is directly related to well-formed and compact stools.
The reality is that it’s not just the appearance of the stools that matters.

ERA recipes provide high digestibility because we ensure the use of high-quality animal-origin ingredients (no flours or by-products), appropriate proportions of proteins, fats, fiber, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals, avoid using artificial additives, and incorporate prebiotics and probiotics to enhance your pet’s digestive health.

It’s said that it’s interesting to feed our pets with 100% natural and unprocessed ingredients. And the truth is, it’s not to disagree with that, as long as we can ensure that they are nutritionally appropriate recipes.
The other reality is that processed foods with multiple advantages and extremely high nutritional quality can be obtained from natural ingredients.

At ERA, we offer recipes that include natural ingredients in their formulation, without adding artificial additives or preservatives. An excellent choice to provide your pet with safe and healthy nutrition.

Some people say that dogs should be fed like wolves, as strict carnivores, with an ancestral diet based almost exclusively on meat. In reality, dogs shouldn’t be considered strict carnivores, but it’s very important that the contribution of animal-origin ingredients in their diet surpasses the sum of the other ingredients. Cats, on the other hand, should indeed be considered strict carnivores, and the percentages of animal-origin ingredients should be even higher.

At ERA, this is something we have very clear. The dog recipes contain between 60% and 65% of animal-origin ingredients, while the cat recipes contain between 70% and 75%.

They tell us that recipes with a high amount of protein are the most suitable.
In reality, the quality and source of proteins are even more important than the quantity.

At ERA, we always incorporate high-quality animal proteins in our recipes. We use fresh chicken, turkey, duck, or salmon as the first ingredient, and in obtaining dehydrated poultry proteins, we don’t use by-products like feathers, heads, or claws.

They say that cereals are not the ideal source of carbohydrates for the diet of our dogs and cats.
The truth is that the important aspect of carbohydrates that should be included in a diet is that they should be slow-releasing energy, whether they come from grains or not. In the case of grains, they should always be whole and unrefined.

At ERA, we offer grain-free recipes with whole brown rice as the only grain. Our carbohydrates are always slow-releasing energy sources, such as sweet potato, yellow peas, chickpeas, and whole brown rice.

Many people believe that the quantity of ingredients in a recipe is synonymous with being good or of premium quality, but quantity isn’t always indicative of quality.
The inclusion of ingredients in premium recipes should depend on their functionality.

At ERA, we carefully select functional ingredients (OptiImmuno + Plus) that have shown to provide health benefits for pets, and we do so in a completely transparent manner. These ingredients can help improve the functioning of the body, lead to a healthier lifestyle, and increase the lifespan of pets.

It’s said that the inclusion of fresh meat in pet food doesn’t contribute much, as the indicated percentages correspond to the ingredient before processing.
It’s true that after processing, the percentage will be lower, but the final result will always depend on the amount used initially.

At ERA, fresh meat is considered an essential ingredient due to its high biological value and its natural contribution to improving the taste of food. For this reason, we use significant amounts of fresh meat, always as the main ingredient and with a higher percentage in our recipes.

There’s often discussion about the low quality of animal-origin ingredients labeled as dehydrated proteins.
However, as in other cases, the quality depends on the origin of the animal sources used for obtaining them.

At ERA, the dehydrated proteins used in our recipes are an excellent source of high-quality protein. Low-nutritional quality by-products such as feathers, heads, or claws are not used in their acquisition. Instead, we use high-quality animal proteins to ensure complete and balanced nutrition for your pet.

It’s said that dry kibble isn’t appropriate for our pets, but the reality is that each production method or type of diet has its advantages and disadvantages.
What really matters is that the chosen diet or production process is of quality and suitable to meet the nutritional needs of each animal.

At ERA, our kibble is made using a process called extrusion, which allows us to offer nutritionally appropriate, safe, highly digestible, palatable, functional ingredient-rich, complete, balanced, and healthy pet food.

We often hear about the benefits of certain ingredients.
However, it’s important to recognize that the benefits can be offset by their negative effects or low nutritional value.

That’s why, at ERA, we avoid ingredients that are common sources of allergies and food intolerances, such as wheat, barley, rye, and soy. Additionally, our products do not contain animal by-products, low-nutritional and digestibility cereals like corn, and they also don’t contain artificial additives or preservatives.

Choose foods based on the correct feeding guideline.
Look for clear, transparent, and detailed information
on labels about their formulas, the origin of their ingredients,
and the percentages.
